Inspire, educate, motivate action.
When the Why is strong enough, the How comes along.
You know your kids are tired of you and everything you have to say. And you know, from personal experience, that in 10 years, they will be remembering what you used to say and will be willing to go back in time and listen, listen better. It is pity we cannot find the proper way of talking to the ones that follow.
I remember a story my mentor told me. He would talk to his son and his son would never listen, for years. Familiar story. So the father, in despair, sat down and wrote a letter. He wrote about his Why and he wrote about his pain, we wrote his heart down. Then, he mailed the letter to his own home where his son lived. Two weeks later, things changed, he did not need to talk anymore, his son had changed. And the letter, it found its place framed on the wall above the desk of his son.
It is now your chance to write your letter, to inspire, educate and motivate the ones that follow for action. For action is what will change us and the world we live in.
